Dr Eva Gruner studied medicine in Florence and has FAMH accreditation in Medical Microbiology as well as degrees in Tropical Medicine (ITM Antwerp) and Antibiotic Stewardship (DGI) and a Master’s in Health Management (University of Bern). After completing training at the University of Zurich and the CDC in Atlanta, she took on the role of Senior Microbiologist at LogoLab and Synlab. In addition to her activities in the field of diagnostics, Gruner also spent many years working as a consultant for hospital hygiene throughout Switzerland and its neighbouring countries. She is particularly interested in measures for limiting the spread of multi-resistant pathogens and the diligent use of antibiotics.
