PD Dr A. Regeniter completed his FAMH-recognised training as a Specialist in Laboratory Medicine in Frankfurt. After this, he spent many years as Deputy Manager of the Laboratory for Clinical Chemistry at University Hospital Basel, where he oversaw the entire spectrum of analysis at various levels of responsibility. He is a qualified Professor of Laboratory Medicine, specialising in CSF and protein diagnostics, and is a Board Member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Liquordiagnostik (German Society of CSF Diagnostics). As the findings of complex diagnostics are often difficult to interpret, Regeniter developed “Visual MDI Lablink”, a knowledge-based system for interpreting and generating a graphical representation of complex protein patterns, used by medica for the purposes of CSF, urine and serum diagnostics.
