Dr Simone Schmid completed her training as Specialist in Pathology at Liestal Cantonal Hospital, the Cantonal Hospital Aarau and University Hospital Zurich. She subsequently underwent additional training in cytology and spent several years as a consultant at University Hospital Zurich, during which time she also amassed extensive experience in a variety of procedures, including ultrasound-guided fine needle puncture.
