Dr Vera Bruderer has been Deputy Head of the Microbiology Department since November 2019. After completing her dissertation in virology and immunology, she transferred to the Institute of Medical Microbiology at the University of Zurich, where she gained FAMH accreditation after completing her specialisation in medical microbiology. She also held the position of Deputy Head of Bacteriology there prior to taking on her current role.
